Little step 01

Choose one location

Start with a downloads folder, a home screen or a small group of old screenshots. Avoid a whole-device clear-out when you cannot review files carefully. Make a backup of anything important before changing or removing it.

Little step 02

Separate duplicates from originals

Similar filenames are not proof that files are identical. Check contents and versions, especially for work, finance and family photographs. Use a review folder for uncertainty, and keep an original where you need it.

Little step 03

Keep access information safe

Do not put passwords or recovery codes in a public checklist or shared tidy board. Use appropriate secure storage. Removing an app icon, deleting an account and cancelling a subscription are different actions; check what you intend before confirming.

Little step 04

Finish one loop

Rename the files you keep in a way you will recognise later, return them to a suitable folder and empty the review group only after checking it. A calmer home screen is a small win even if the rest of the digital cupboard waits.

Keep going, gently
