Little step 01

Sort before sizing

Work out what you want to keep and where it needs to live. Buying a box first can create a new job: finding somewhere for a box that does not fit. A cardboard box can help you test a category or location.

Little step 02

Measure usable space

Allow for hinges, handles, skirting and the way you will pull the container out. Check external product dimensions rather than assuming a stated capacity tells you the footprint. Our fit checker is a simple rectangular estimate, not a load or safety assessment.

Little step 03

Check access and instructions

A lidded box suits some things and adds an awkward extra step for others. Follow weight limits, fixing instructions and care guidance. Avoid unsafe stacking or placing heavy containers where they could fall onto someone.

Little step 04

Buy for the job you have

A product link is an optional shopping route, not a requirement for completing the task. Choose a durable, suitable item only if the existing arrangement cannot do the job. A matching set is not more useful simply because all the labels line up.

Keep going, gently
